What Is A2P 10DLC?

A2P 10DLC refers to a system in the United States that enables businesses to send Application-to-Person (A2P) type messaging via a standard 10-digit long code (10DLC) phone numbers.

Effective September 1st, 2023, due to recent regulatory and industry updates to improve trust around the use of application-to-person (A2P) SMS messaging, all SMS and MMS messages sent to U.S. phone numbers using +1 10DLC phone numbers must be registered via an approved application-to-person (A2P) campaign.

Messages sent to the U.S. from unregistered numbers will be blocked. In order to prevent this, ActiveDEMAND will need to submit the registration for each account/sub-account that sends SMS messages to U.S. phone numbers. 

What Do I need to Do?

If you do not send messages to users in the United States, then you do not have to do anything.

If you do send messages to users in the United States, please review CSV attached and fill it out with your business information. Once it is completed please open a support ticket attaching the file by emailing: support@activedemand.com

Each subaccount's information needs to be added per row that meets the criteria if sending to U.S. numbers.

Once you have provided the above for all your accounts that meet the criteria, we will start the process and keep you updated on any status changes. Please note that this approval may take several weeks.
