Uploading a video creates a Content Card.
The Title of the and Description of the video correlate to the Title and Excerpt of the Content Card. When you upload a video, a GIF is created and added to your Image Library. This GIF becomes the Content Card feature image.
There are two URLs for a video, the file URL and the Watch URL. The Watch URL is where the video is to be viewed.
The Video System Page
For every video, if you do not specify a watch URL, the watch URL will be assigned to the the account system page. You can create your Video View System Page by creating a page template and setting the page use to Video View
Dynamic Fields that you may want to use are
Video ID: %VIDEO.ID%
Video Title: %VIDEO.TITLE%
Video Uploaded By: %VIDEO.AUTHOR%
Video Watch URL: %VIDEO.WATCH_URL%
Video File: %VIDEO.FILE_PATH%
Video Thumbnail Path: %VIDEO.THUMBNAIL_PATH%
Video Description: %VIDEO.DESCRIPTION%
The target URL for the generated Content Card will be associated with the watch.
Every video's creator is associated with the video. Thus the 'author' of the content card is the person who uploads the video. Thus on the profile of the user who uploads the video will have have a set of videos on their profile.
Adding Videos To Assets
Adding videos to Emails
As email clients do not support embedding videos, you cannot directly embed video into an email. That being said, if the video is hosted within ActiveDEMAND, you can use the Video content object.
When you add a video content block into your email, you can reference videos from within your video library
Click the edit icon to choose the video from your library. When you uploaded your video, ActiveDEMAND generated gif for the video.
This will embed the gif into your email, and the image will be wrapped with a link that is configured to go to the video's 'Watch URL'
Adding videos to All Other Assets
As all other assets (Popups, Landing Pages, Forms, etc.) are rendered on web pages, you can actually embed a video.
Externally Hosted Videos
For videos that are hosted outside of ActiveDEMAND (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.), These can be embedded using the text block
In your text block, the main editor menus have an 'embed video' button
Add your embed code to the block
Embedding Videos Hosted in ActiveDEMAND
