Installing ActiveDEMAND tracking script using Google Tag Manager (GTM)

Note: If your website is on WordPress, we’d recommend using the ActiveDEMAND plugin for WordPress to get the ActiveDEMAND tracking script on your website instead of Google Tag Manager (GTM) as it adds some functionality that you don’t get going the GTM route.

1. Login to Google Tag Manager and choose the appropriate container

2. Create a new tag

3. Name the tag ActiveDEMAND tracking code (or whatever your heart desires)

4. Choose tag type: Custom HTML

5. Paste in the ActiveDEMAND tracking code (available from the wrench icon in the top right after you login to ActiveDEMAND)
   

6. Add Trigger: We recommend using the “All Pages” trigger for most deployments.

7. Save the tag

8. Optional, but recommended: Preview the container and check that the tag fires when you go to the website.

9. Submit and publish with a changelog describing what you added

Note: ActiveDEMAND will only track form submits and visits from the domain configured in your account. If you are trying to work on a development site, please contact ActiveDEMAND Support.
